Today is my first day of college. I am embarking on a new journey in my life and writing a new chapter in my life. Who knows what this chapter will hold? My hope is that the pages are filled with opportunities, adventures and happiness. Surely there will be stress, anxiety and some crazy times, but everything is new here, including myself. I can be whoever I want to be and as appealing as that is, I am going to remain myself. Everybody will still be able to count on my sarcasm, my focus on school and the love I have for those around me. With that in mind, I do have some goals for college. Every week I plan on eating 3-4 salads. It’s important to eat healthy, which is pretty easy to do at Seattle University. I am also going to strive to slowly eliminate the word ‘like’ from my vocabulary. It has become far too common in everyday conversation and is quite unnecessary. I have some names I strongly urge you to look up and explore. The first is Maura Cullen, who came and spoke about diversity. She was quite the lady. If you ever have the opportunity to hear her speak, I strongly recommend you give it a shot. The other name is Will Keim. He has to be one of the most hilarious speakers I have ever listened to. He spoke to us about college and succeeding, but did so in a manner where we could laugh and still retain the message. Some may find him offensive, but to me he was a perfect speaker to have before classes started. As I settle into a routine here it is my hope that I will take some pictures to display. The area is beautiful. Enjoy!

Written by lonephoto on July 29th, 2009Welcome! It is my sincere hope you are taken on a journey through my world and that you enjoy it. But, keep in mind it is my world and my photographs. The images will always reveal the truth, but not necessarily reality. Each photograph is an artistic expression of how I viewed that particular scene at that particular moment in time, which isn’t always how the scene appeared. Remember, photography is a powerful medium. It is used, but not limited to, selling products, conveying a story and/or documenting a moment in time. Because of the immense applications a photo possesses, be cautious as a viewer. With that in mind, enjoy my work!
